MacMolecule2 Lite is a freeware successor to our MacMolecule 1.0, MacMolecule1.5, and MacMolecule 1.7 programs. MacMolecule2 Lite reads a molecule specification file and displays it on your computer screen. With MacMolecule2 Lite's fast rendering engine you can open molecules with thousands of atoms and rotate them in real-time with the mouse. These large molecules are rendered with excellent quality and speed.
Why "Lite"?
MacMolecule2 Lite is the scaled down verion of the fully featured MacMolecule2. The full version has a toolbar, functions for erasing and coloring atoms, the ability to save a view of a molecule with annotated text, exporting molecules as GIF files for direct inclusion into web pages, and much much more. The software is owned by Molecular Ventures, Inc. and is protected by United States copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore, you must treat the software like any other copyrighted material (e.g. a book or musical recording).
You MAY NOT DISTRIBUTE the software on any disk costing more than $6 without explicit permission from Molecular Ventures, Inc. You MAY NOT DISTRIBUTE the software on any CD without explicit permission from Molecular Ventures, Inc.
You may not rent or lease the software, nor may you modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software. If you violate any part of this agreement, your right to use this software terminates automatically and you are then required destroy all copies of this software in your possession.
The software and related documentation are provided “AS IS” and without warranty of any kind and Molecular Ventures, Inc. expressly disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Under no circumstances shall Molecular Ventures, Inc. be liable for any incidental, special or consequential damages that result from the use or inability to use the software or related documentation, even if Molecular Ventures, Inc. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
